"To labor is to pray."
~ Motto of the Benedictines ~
The tree project for this week is not about planting little trees but about clearing big ones to make a pasture for cattle. Gruff (my husband) is on the excavator pulling them out whole- stumps included, our friend Eulugio is running the tractor with a grapple on it to move the downed trees into piles for fence posts, sawmill timber, and the burn pile, and I'm on the ground with a chainsaw.
Every feature of the job is incredible, truly, and I am pleased and awed by the power of our partnership and the ability we have harnessed to be able to change the landscape with such relative ease.
What do you want to move, and who and what can help you do it?
