CHURNING TIME

"'Old Times' never come back and I suppose it's just as well."
~ George F. Woodberry ~

The weeks and weekends come and go so fast. We churn through them like a bush-hog cuts down a field of tall grass. But the grass grows again, just as our days and weeks turn into months and years. The secret, it seems to me, and the pleasure, comes in not living for future goodness, but in appreciating the delicacies, delights and even the dangers du jour.

I needn't anticipate the future. Each day presents opportunity enough.
