When I coached, I used to tell my players that if they did three things on the field they would come away from every game as winners no matter the score. If they gave 100% of their best effort, had fun, and were good sports, then they would feel and be successful.
I know these rules to apply in every life venture, but sometimes I forget about them. I get caught up in numbers, and become so busy keeping score that I forget to have fun. I lose sight of what matters the most.
However things turn out, I'm a good sport in life. I give my best effort and remember to have fun.
