Birdfeeders are one of the best investments we can make. The return on them is a thousand-fold and then some. Watching birds of all kinds and colors and size come fluttering and perching is an unparalleled delight. It's soothing and scintillating at the same time. And if the mess of falling seeds is more than we are willing to handle, we can feed hummingbirds instead, with sugar-water out of a red plastic flower feeder.
Let's not miss this easy opportunity for joy. It's a small price to pay for entertainment and intrigue.
I keep my birdfeeder full and watch with delight as the birds come and go.
