When my children come to me for help, I figure that they want my words and my wisdom and all of my thoughtful suggestions. But maybe they just want me to be there
without words. Maybe they just want my presence, and my quiet loving, and not my problem solving capabilities and big ideas.
I don't have to take control to be supportive and loving.
