When we release tension, we increase energy. All that has been held taut and "in check" suddenly moves freely and a sense of ease pervades. And we can accomplish this release of tension with something as simple as a deep breath. We can let go of stress and strain and worry and angst all by breathing in and breathing out, consciously, and with an "ahhhh" sound as we exhale.
When I am feeling tense and pinched, I breathe deeply and feel the tension release.
