Having nothing to lose is a confident position. If we will be no worse off by taking a risk, and might, potentially, be better off, why not take it? And even if we don't get the long shot result we are hoping for, the mere fact that we had the pluck to ask for it strengthens our position in life and the sense of power that we feel inside.
I am going for it, and don't hold back.
