"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so."
~ Shakespeare ~
When we want
something, we cannot see it clearly. All we see, and all we experience, is the
wanting. And then, when we get it, it’s never quite as we imagined. It’s
better in some ways, usually, and worse in others. It’s yin and yang and this
and that and whatever it is- a mix. But when we were wanting it, all we could conceive
of was the good, so it’s always a bit of a shock when reality sets in.
Nothing is all good or all bad, and
remembering that, we can take comfort in things, and people, exactly as they
are- as more of a discovery than a knowing, and more of a curiosity than a
fact.
I keep my
mind open to all possibilities.
