"People who fly into a rage always make a bad landing."
~Will Rogers ~
Getting mad accomplishes nothing. It backtracks us. It is far more effective to seek understanding them to fly off the handle and become righteous and defensive and take things personally that are not meant to be personal.
We leap to indignation. How dare they, we ask? How dare they insinuate this or ask that of us or expect us to be happy with their idiotic ideas? How dare they drive so slowly? How dare they switch lanes? How dare they be different from us or make us uncomfortable in any way?Perhaps it is not actually a daring kind of proposition. Perhaps it is simply a difference of opinion and the nature of life.
I take the time to consider all sides of the situation and use anger as my last resort.
