PRAGMATIC ACTION

We can be so dramatic with ourselves and others that sometimes even the idea of action of any kind feels overwhelming and we can't handle it. We don't know what to do. We're so confused!
     And yet, if we can take a step back and take a deep breath and simply look at what's in front of us, more often than not, the next step is actually clear and apparent. We don't have to figure it all out at once or know how it's going to be in the long run. We have only to look, and act, and then look again and act again- pragmatically, systematically, and free from the melodrama in our heads.

I do the next right thing, over, and over, and over, and it makes for good living, and a good life.
